The Eco Club of Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), with the event organized by GJIMT NCC Cadets, observed World Environment Day on 5 June 2026 to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices among students. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members.
The event aimed to sensitize students about the importance of environmental conservation and the role of plants in maintaining ecological balance. An awareness session was conducted to highlight the need to adopt eco-friendly habits, reduce plastic consumption, and promote sustainable living. Students were also educated about proper plant care practices, including watering, maintaining soil quality, ensuring adequate sunlight, and the use of organic manure.
A guided tour of the green campus was organized to familiarize students with the institute’s green initiatives and to emphasize the significance of preserving campus greenery and maintaining environmental cleanliness…
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 30 students and 8 faculty members. The programme provided an engaging platform for spreading awareness about environmental conservation and promoting sustainable practices among the students.
