Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebration and Tree Plantation Drive

On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the NCC Unit of Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Mohali, organized a Tree Plantation Drive on 27 July 2026 to pay tribute to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice during the Kargil War while promoting environmental conservation and sustainable living.

The programme commenced with a brief address highlighting the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and the courage, dedication, and patriotism displayed by the Indian Armed Forces during Operation Vijay. As a mark of respect to the martyrs, NCC cadets planted saplings across the campus and pledged to nurture the planted saplings and actively contribute to environmental protection.

The event successfully combined the spirit of patriotism with environmental responsibility, inspiring students to uphold the values of national service, discipline, and sustainability.
