GianJyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), through its Women Empowerment Committee, organized a One Day Workshop on Gender Sensitization for the teaching staff on 16 May 2026 at the MCA 4 Classroom. The workshop was conducted with the objective of promoting awareness regarding gender sensitivity, workplace ethics, professional conduct, and the importance of creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive institutional environment.
The session focused on sensitizing faculty members about the responsibilities of the Internal Complaint Committee (ICC), awareness regarding the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Act, workplace behaviour, ethical practices, and maintaining professional boundaries within educational institutions. The workshop also highlighted the significance of respectful communication, accountability, and fostering a positive work culture.
The interactive session encouraged meaningful discussions and active participation among the faculty members, making the workshop informative and impactful. The initiative served as an important step towards strengthening awareness, professionalism, mutual respect, and institutional values within the campus environment.
The workshop witnessed the participation of 35 faculty members and concluded successfully with an engaging discussion and positive feedback from the participants.
