GJIMT Intellectual Property Rights Cell and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)in association with the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, Government of India, organized an online awareness session on “Intellectual Property Rights and Patent Filing Procedures” on the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day. The session aimed to promote awareness about the importance of intellectual property in fostering innovation and protecting creative ideas.
The programme included an introductory session highlighting the significance of intellectual property in today’s knowledge-driven economy, followed by a technical session covering key concepts of IPR. Participants were also guided through the step-by-step process of patent filing, including patent search, documentation, and filing requirements. An interactive discussion session allowed participants to clarify their queries and deepen their understanding.
Overall, the session was highly informative and impactful, encouraging students to value innovation, originality, and the legal protection of their ideas, thereby strengthening the institution’s innovation ecosystem.
