Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT) organized a seminar on “Understanding Intellectual Property Rights: Basics and Benefits” to build awareness about the role of IPR in innovation, research, and business.
The session was conducted by Dr.KarminderGhuman, Associate Professor, L.M. Thapar School of Management, who shared valuable insights on the importance of protecting intellectual property.
The seminar covered key aspects such as patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and the legal framework of IPR. It also highlighted how intellectual property supports innovation, safeguards creators, and helps businesses gain a competitive edge. Practical guidance on protection and commercialization of intellectual assets was also discussed.
A total of 83 students attended the seminar and actively participated, making it an informative and engaging learning experience.
