Learning Resource Centre

The GJIMT Library is a key academic resource centre that plays a vital role in supporting the educational needs of students and faculty. It boasts a substantial collection, including 17041 books, 100 national journals and international journals, 11 magazines, 10 newspapers, and 1,000 CDs, along with numerous articles, newsletters, and project files. This diverse array of resources covers management and information technology comprehensively.

LRC Software:Learning Resource Centrefully Automated utilizes Edusecure an advanced management software with barcode technology. Software streamlines cataloguing, circulation, and tracking of resources, enhancing efficiency and user experience. Through mobile app student gets notification regarding library circular, book issue and return report and they can check the collection of library books also.

Web-OPAC: E- Catalogue available on Institute Website. It provides ease in searching for information based on Title, Author, Publisher, Subject, and Category.  E resources and online subscribed journals link also available on Institute website.

Key Sections:The Learning Resource Centre is divided into four sections: the Competitive Exam Section with 113 books covering UPSC, PPSC, SSC, IBPS, SBI Bank PO, GMAT, UGC-NET, SAT, IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE preparation; the Reference Section with 966 books; the IKS Section with 108 books; and the Literature Section with 163 books.

Digital Resources:LRC subscribes to various e-resources, including a digital section with 10 computer systems providing internet access for exploring e-databases, e-journals, and e-books through Delnet, NDLI. Access to the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) further enriches the library’s offerings with over 700,000 books, 300,000 research papers, and 95,000 theses, supplementing its physical collection.

Facilities and Services:The library is designed to be user-friendly, offering photocopying services, access to old university question papers, and a display rack for new arrivals. It is inclusive, with resources like a Braille keyboard and Non-Visual Desktop Access (NVDA) software to assist visually impaired students, the GJIMT Library remains a dynamic hub of academic activity. Its well-organized sections, digital resources, and support for the ABC initiative make it a cornerstone of the academic experience at GJIMT, fostering a rich and supportive learning environment for all users.
