GJIMT organized a five-day Faculty Development Programme on “From Tradition to Innovation: Pedagogical Tools for Integrating Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS)” with active participation from 63 faculty members, coordinated by the Institute’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the Skill Development Cell. The FDP aimed to enhance faculty understanding of traditional Indian knowledge and its integration into modern pedagogy in alignment with NEP guidelines. The programme featured expert resource persons from esteemed national institutions who delivered sessions on IKS foundations, innovative teaching approaches, digital tools, interdisciplinary research linkages, and assessment models.
The programme featured expert resource persons from esteemed national institutions, including Prof. V. Ramanathan (IIT–BHU), Dr.Kalapini H. Agasti (KKSU, Ramtek), Prof. (Dr.) Swati Bhatia (Asian Business School), Dr.PritiJagwani (University of Delhi), Dr.Subrahmanya Kumar K. (TDU Bengaluru), and Ms.OjasviGoyal (MeitY, Government of India). Each session provided practical insights into curriculum design, experiential pedagogies, ICT-enabled teaching tools, and frameworks for integrating IKS across disciplines.
The FDP concluded with a vote of thanks and the distribution of certificates. The programme successfully equipped participants with knowledge, strategies, and resources to incorporate Indian Knowledge Systems into contemporary higher education.
