Digital Literacy Awareness Drive at Anganwadi Kendra Kambala under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan

The Rotaract Club of Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT) successfully organized a Digital Literacy Awareness Drive at Anganwadi Kendra Kambala under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan on 09 May 2026 with the objective of spreading awareness about safe and effective digital practices among the local community.

The awareness drive focused on educating community members about the importance of digital literacy and secure online practices in today’s rapidly evolving digital world. Students actively interacted with local residents and created awareness regarding digital payment methods such as UPI transactions, online banking, mobile wallets, ATM usage, and safe online financial practices.

The volunteers also highlighted important aspects of cyber security, including cyber fraud prevention, safe password practices, and the importance of keeping OTPs and banking details confidential. The session was conducted in an interactive manner where participants were encouraged to ask questions and clarify their doubts related to digital transactions and online safety.

The initiative proved to be highly beneficial in promoting digital awareness and financial empowerment among the local residents while also encouraging students to contribute towards social responsibility and community welfare.

A total of 30 students and 4 faculty members participated in the awareness drive. The event concluded successfully with active participation and positive community engagement.
