REPORT ON AWARENESS SEMINAR ON BLOOD DONATION (World Blood Donor Day) – A Proud Moment for GJIMT

The National Service Scheme (NSS), in collaboration with the Red Ribbon Club, organized an Awareness Seminar on Blood Donation on 13 June 2026 to mark the observance of World Blood Donor Day. The seminar aimed to sensitize students about the importance of voluntary blood donation and its vital role in saving lives and strengthening community healthcare.

The programme focused on creating awareness regarding the benefits of blood donation, eligibility criteria, and dispelling common myths and misconceptions associated with the process. Participants were encouraged to adopt humanitarian values and actively contribute towards society through voluntary blood donation initiatives.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, reflecting their commitment towards social responsibility and community welfare. The programme successfully inspired participants to understand the significance of blood donation and motivated them to become responsible citizens dedicated to serving humanity.
A total of 35 students and 8 faculty members participated in the seminar. The programme was jointly organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) and the Red Ribbon Club.
