Electoral Enrollment and Voters Registration: Awareness Workshop

The Electoral Literacy Club of GJIMT successfully organized an Awareness Workshop on Electoral Enrollment and Voters Registration to educate students about the importance of voter registration and active participation in the democratic process.

The session focused on key aspects such as eligibility criteria for voter registration, the step-by-step enrollment process, and the use of online platforms for applying, updating, and verifying voter details. Participants were also guided on checking their names in the electoral roll and applying for a Voter ID card.

Special emphasis was laid on ethical voting practices, awareness against electoral malpractices, and the crucial role of youth in strengthening democracy. The workshop included interactive discussions and a question-and-answer session, which encouraged active participation and clarified students’ queries.
