Tree Plantation Activity at GJIMT: A Step Towards Environmental Sustainability

As part of GJIMT’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community service, a Tree Plantation Activity was organized last year, bringing together students, faculty members, and volunteers from the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and the National Service Scheme (NSS). The event was conducted outside the campus, specifically near the Industrial Area, Sector 73, and the Phase-2 residential areas.

The primary objective of this initiative was to raise awareness among students and the local community about the crucial role of trees in maintaining ecological balance. It also aligned with the institution’s broader mission of contributing to sustainable development and promoting responsible citizenship.

Participants actively engaged in planting saplings, demonstrating their dedication to making a positive environmental impact. The enthusiastic involvement of the youth and faculty made the event a resounding success and a meaningful step toward a greener and healthier future.
