The NSS unit of Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT) organized an impactful event titled “Saving Water, Saving Life,” aimed at raising awareness about the urgent need for water conservation. The event featured a special session by renowned environmentalist Dr. Pooja Chopra, who delivered a powerful and insightful talk on sustainable water practices.
Dr. Chopra emphasized the critical importance of water conservation in today’s world, citing alarming statistics on water scarcity. She provided practical and actionable tips such as fixing leaks, reusing household water, and adopting rainwater harvesting methods. Her session highlighted the significance of community-driven efforts in achieving long-term, sustainable water management.
Through an engaging and interactive discussion, Dr. Chopra encouraged students to practice mindful water usage and become active advocates for conservation in their personal and social lives.
The session concluded with Dr. Neeraj Sharma, Dean Academics, honouring the guest speaker and appreciating her valuable insights. He acknowledged the session as an eye-opener for the youth, urging everyone to take individual responsibility in protecting this precious resource.
