GJIMT Electoral Literacy Club organised an engaging student interaction session titled “Ballot Bistro: Voting Is a Right or a Duty?” on 8th September 2026 at the GJIMT Campus. The session provided students with an opportunity to express their views and participate in a meaningful discussion on the importance of voting in a democracy.
The discussion explored whether voting should be considered merely a constitutional right or also a civic duty and responsibility. Students shared diverse perspectives and highlighted the significance of informed voting, active citizenship, and understanding the impact of one’s vote on society and the nation.
The session encouraged students to exercise their voting rights responsibly and reinforced the idea that every vote contributes to strengthening democracy. The programme successfully promoted civic awareness, democratic values, and responsible citizenship among students.
