Annual African Students Meet 2026 – 3rd Edition

The third edition of the African Students Meet 2026 was successfully organized at GJIMT under the coordination of the Student Exchange and International Relations Committee, celebrating cultural diversity, leadership, and international unity. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 200 African students representing various colleges across North India.

The occasion was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Baker Baluywa, Education Attaché, Uganda High Commission, and Conrad Nana KojoAsiedu, First Secretary for Trade, Tourism, and Culture, Ghana High Commission. Their inspiring addresses encouraged students to prioritize academic excellence while fostering leadership and responsible global citizenship.

The programme featured vibrant cultural performances including group dance, solo singing, ramp walk, extempore, and poetry, along with sports competitions such as football, badminton, basketball, table tennis, and volleyball. Insightful discussions on themes like “Empowering Africans” further enriched the event.

During the Awards Ceremony, 15 student leaders were honoured with the Leadership Excellence Award, and 3 African students were recognized for commendable academic performance in their respective degrees.

The African Students Meet 2026 concluded on a high note, strengthening cross-cultural ties and reaffirming GJIMT’s commitment to international collaboration and inclusive education.
