Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT) Career Guidance and Development Cell organised an Industry Visit to Hindustan Times, Mohali for students of BBA I. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to the functioning of the media industry and help them understand its relevance to career development.
During the visit, students interacted with Ms. Diksha, Executive – Press Operations, and Mr. Vinod Sharma, Senior Coordinator – Printing. They explored various departments and the printing floor, visited the printing press plant, and gained valuable insights into the complete process involved in newspaper production. The interaction with industry professionals also helped students understand the role of media in the evolving professional landscape.
The visit offered the participating BBA students an enriching learning experience, enabling them to connect classroom knowledge with real-world industry practices. It also broadened their understanding of the media industry as a potential career avenue and provided valuable insights into its operations and career opportunities.
