Universal Human Values Cell

The Universal Human Values (UHV) Cell has been constituted as per the directives of AICTE and I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) under the mandate of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The Cell aims to nurture a holistic, value-based educational environment that promotes ethical understanding, emotional well-being, and social harmony among students and faculty.

Objectives

• To integrate universal human values into the institutional framework.
• To create awareness about ethics, empathy, and responsibility in personal and professional life.
• To promote a culture of respect, compassion, and mutual understanding among students and staff.
• To organize activities, workshops, and discussions for holistic human development.
• To ensure the inclusion of value-based education in the curriculum as envisioned in NEP 2020.

Functions

• Conduct orientation programs, seminars, and interactive sessions on human values and professional ethics.
• Coordinate with faculty mentors to embed value-based learning in regular coursework.
• Facilitate student engagement through reflective exercises, case studies, and group discussions.
• Collaborate with other institutional cells such as IQAC, Student Counselling, and Women Empowerment Committee for inclusive and balanced growth.
• Maintain regular reporting and compliance with AICTE–IKGPTU guidelines on UHV implementation.
