10.09.2025

GJIMT’s NSS, NCC and Rotaract Clubs organized an impactful Awareness Session on Drug Abuse and Traffic Rules, addressed by Sh. Karnail Singh, DSP Mohali, a senior officer of Punjab Police. The session aimed to sensitize students about two critical issues affecting today’s youth — substance abuse and road safety.

In his thought-provoking address, Sh. Karnail Singh spoke about the devastating effects of drug addiction on health, family, and society. He urged students to stay vigilant, make responsible choices, and inspire peers to lead a drug-free life. He also stressed the importance of following traffic rules, wearing helmets and seatbelts, and avoiding rash driving, noting that these simple yet vital practices can save countless lives.

The session saw enthusiastic participation from over 300 students from MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA, and B.Com programs. Students actively interacted with the speaker, asking questions and sharing their thoughts, which made the session lively and engaging.

By combining motivational guidance with practical advice, the session successfully instilled a sense of discipline, responsibility, and social awareness among the youth
