The NSS Club of Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT) took a commendable step toward environmental sustainability by organising a Tree Plantation Drive on campus. The initiative aimed to promote eco-friendly practices and raise awareness about the importance of maintaining a green and healthy ecosystem.
Students and faculty members actively participated in the drive, planting a diverse range of saplings in and around the campus. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and a shared sense of responsibility, as participants came together to contribute to a greener future.
NSS volunteers led the way by preparing the plantation site, guiding the planting process, and taking responsibility for the ongoing care and maintenance of the newly planted trees. Their efforts ensured that the drive was not just symbolic, but a lasting contribution to the environment.
The event concluded with a short but impactful awareness session highlighting the crucial role of trees in combating pollution, reducing carbon footprints, and mitigating the effects of climate change.
