GJIMT organized an Industry Visit for 45 students of BCA V to the Integrated Command& Control Centre (ICCC), Chandigarh offering them real-world exposure to smart city operations and technology-driven governance.
Students observed how the ICCC integrates traffic management, CCTV surveillance, utility monitoring, emergency response, and public services on a single platform. They also learned how data from sensors and cameras is analyzed in real time for decision-making and predictive modeling of problem zones like congestion and accident-prone areas.
The visit highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary knowledge where IT, data analytics, and management converge to create smarter, safer, and more efficient cities. For the students, it was an enriching experience that connected classroom learning with practical applications in governance and technology.
