Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), in collaboration with the Rotary Club Silvercity, Mohali, organized a Clean Water Initiative and Awareness Drive at Daun Village under Govt. of India’s flagship programme Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. The program aimed to create awareness about the importance of water conservation and safe, hygienic water usage within the rural community.
The event featured a student rally across the village, where participants spread messages of water sustainability and hygiene. The local Panch, Mr. Manpreet Singh, interacted with the students and highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by the community in terms of water supply and sanitation.
A total of 47 students from NSS, NCC, and Rotaract Clubs actively participated, representing BCA and BBA programs. Their enthusiastic involvement reflected GJIMT’s strong commitment to community service and social responsibility.
The initiative reinforced the institute’s vision of empowering students as change agents, working together with communities for a cleaner and healthier future.
