Fostering a Safe and Respectful Environment at GJIMT
In accordance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and UGC Regulations, 2015, GJIMT has constituted an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to provide a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
The ICC is responsible for addressing complaints of sexual harassment at the workplace and ensuring that appropriate redressal mechanisms are followed. The committee works proactively to create awareness, prevent incidents, and provide fair, timely resolutions.
Objectives
- To provide a safe and secure campus free from sexual harassment.
- To create awareness on gender sensitivity, equality, and inclusivity.
- To receive and redress complaints of sexual harassment in a fair and confidential manner.
- To recommend appropriate action against the offender based on findings.
Functions
- Receive complaints of sexual harassment from students, faculty, and staff.
- Conduct impartial inquiries while ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity.
- Organize orientation, sensitization, and awareness programs on gender equality.
- Recommend corrective and preventive measures to the institution.
