Cultural Club of Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology celebrated Karwa Chauth at its campus in Phase-2, Mohali. Mehndi Competition and Pot (karwa) painting competitions were organized on the occasion. Students of MBA, MCA, BBA and BCA participated with full enthusiasm and zeal.
Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director, Gian Jyoti Insitute of Management and Technology along with the female staff members joined students for celebration. Participation certificates were also distributed to all participants in the end.
Dr. Bedi congratulated all the winners and thanked all the participants and cultural club coordinators for organizing the event.
Karwa Chauth is an important Hindu festival celebrated by married women for safety and longevity of their husbands. The festival is celebrated with much fervor in the Northern parts of India especially in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab, Mrs. Bedi Added.
