International Women’s Day Celebrations

Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology in association with 94.3 MY FM celebrated Internation Women’s Day at its campus in Phase-2, Mohali. Sh. Darminder Sharma, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forests (Plains) Punjab was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director, Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology presided over the event.

On this occasion 8 womem from the Tricity who have done exceptional work for the development of the society were falicitated by Gian Jyoti and MY FM. Those women were awarded are Ms. Sita Devi, Inspector, Children’s Traffic Park Chandigarh; Ms. Gurshabanam Kaur, who donates medicines in the paediatric department of PGI; Ms. Vandana, who teaches poor kids free of cost till 10^th standard, Ms. Amita Marwah, who teaches Taekowndo to slum kids; Ms. Isha Kakaria, Founder, NGO Tammnna; Ms. Sunita Sharma, Founder, Roti Bank; Ms. Amarjit Kaur, who cremates the unclaimed dead bodies and Late Ms. Neerja Bhanot, her niece received the award on her behalf.
