GJIMT Celebrated Ramadan with its Muslim Students and distributed ‘Iftar’ to the Students

Gian Jyoti institute of Management and Technology celebrated Ramadan “Islam’s Holiest Month” with its Muslim students. Mr. J.S.Bedi, Chairman, Gian Jyoti Group was also present on the occasion and distributed ‘Iftar’ to the students.

Mr. J.S. Bedi while speaking on the occasion he said we have good number of students from Jammu & Kashmir is studying at Gian Jyoti. This is Holi month of Ramadan, we have made special arrangements to provide proper and specific food to our Muslim students according to their religious beliefs.

Mr Bedi further explained to the students that everyone should show respect to its religion and should have same respect for other religions too. The students were seen in a joyful mood during the celebration, he added.

‘Iftar’ is the meal eaten by Muslims to break their fast after sunset every day during Ramadan. While fasting, they eat in the morning before sunrise and then don’t eat during whole of the day until the sun sets. It is very important to have breakfast at one particular time that the calendar says. Many Muslims believe that feeding someone iftar as a form of charity is very rewarding.
